BISSELL STEAM SHOT HANDHELD STEAM CLEANERS
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Bissell issued a voluntary recall of the STEAM SHOT HANDHELD STEAM CLEANERS because the product can, in rare instances, expel hot water or steam onto users while heating or during use, posing a hazard of minor burns. The following models are affected by this recall:
Models: 39N7, 39N71, 39N72, 39N73, 39N75, 39N76, 39N77, 39N78, 39N79, 39N7A, 39N7B, 39N7D, 39N7E, 39N7F, 39N7M, 39N7N, 39N7P, 39N7Q, 39N7T, 39N7V, 39N7W, 29946, 29947, 29948, 29949, 2994B, and 2994W

Important Product Recall: In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), MGA Entertainment issued a voluntary recall of unused MGA’s Miniverse Make It Mini products that contain a resin used to assemble the products. These include “Make It Mini Appliances,” all models and series of “Make It Mini Food”, and “Make It Mini Lifestyle.” This voluntary recall is only for products that are unused as once the resin has been cured and hardened, the chemicals in question become inert and pose no risk.

Hazard: The recalled Make It Mini Sets contain resins that when in liquid form can cause skin, eye and respiratory irritation or sensitization when inhaled, touched, or ingested by children or adults. After the resins cure, they no longer present these hazards. These resins contain acrylates (hydroxyethylmethacrylate or “HEMA” and isobornyl acrylate or “IBOA”) in amounts that, per CPSC, are prohibited in children’s products by the Federal Hazardous Substances Act. MGA Entertainment received only 26 consumer reported incidents regarding resin irritation out of 21 million units sold (.000013%) and all the incidents have been non-serious and temporary.

Important Product Recall: In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Vitamix issued a voluntary recall of the Vitamix Ascent and Venturist Blenders.
Hazard: Through their rigorous and ongoing quality-inspection program, Vitamix has identified a potential safety issue. It is possible that the container may separate from the blade base, exposing the blades and posing a laceration hazard. Note that the operation and performance of the blender’s motor or base are not affected by this issue, nor are your 48-ounce and 64-ounce containers.

Hazard: Battery pack can overheat and smoke, posing a fire hazard.
