Creating, managing or deleting my registry


Create your Registry

If you have already created a macys.com profile, the following steps will guide you in creating your Registry. (If you have not yet created a profile, you can do so here.)

  1. Click here to create your registry.
  2. From this page, you can click "Get Started" to create your Registry OR "Link Store Registry" if you started your Registry in a Macy's store.
  3. Enter the email address and password you created for your macys.com account
  4. Enter your event details
  5. Click "register"


Once completed, your registry will be available in stores immediately and in about an hour online Remember, if you started your registry in-store, you must claim your in-store registry here before it is available online. See how your rewards can add up by enrolling in the Registry Star Rewards program!


Updating your Registry

To add items to your registry:

  1. Sign into your registry
  2. Select "view our registry"
  3. Select a category
  4. Select a product
  5. Click "add to registry"


To edit/delete items on your registry:

  1. Sign into your registry
  2. Select "view our registry"
  3. Enter the new quantity in the "still need" column or the "remove item" link to delete the item
  4. Click "save changes"

Please note: At this time, a registry cannot be created for our customers with an International address. However, if your shipping address is within the U.S. or its territories, you are welcome to create a registry with us.

Need help finding a couple's Registry?

To find a couple's Registry online, follow these easy steps:

  1. Click here to find a couple's Registry
  2. Enter the first and last name of the registrant
  3. Click "search"
  4. Click on "view registry" to the right of the couple you are searching for


Do all Macy's stores offer Wedding & Gift registry?

Please visit our Store Locator and choose the Wedding & Gift Registry option to find stores with full Wedding & Gift Registry services.

I am coming from overseas. Can I shop online?

Guests can shop online if their credit card is registered with a U.S. billing address.

International orders can be placed by calling us at IDD# +1 (513) 573-7912. International calling charges may apply.

Please note: W e can attempt any billing address from any country. Unfortunately, the only way to know if your credit card company participates in our credit verification system is to attempt to place the order. If the verification fails, the order will decline.

Some of the items on the registery are not available online. How can I purchase these items?

If a registered item is not available online:

  • Please use our Store Locator to call the store nearest you to see if it is available, or
  • Click to find out if the item is available in a location near you

Will items off a registry be shipped with a gift receipt?

Yes they will! We always include a gift receipt with your registry gift. A gift receipt omits prices and allows the registrants to make an easy return if necessary.

Can I order a Gift Card for the couple?

Yes you can! Please click here to order a Gift Card for their special day.

Please note: your Gift Card purchase will not reflect on the couple's registry and you must provide a shipping address for the couple if you wish to have it sent directly to the couple.

Another option to the Gift Card is Macy's Dream Fund. You can make a contribution to the Dream Fund to assist the registrants in purchasing anything that Macy's sells. Most registrants include a preference item that they have in mind for their Dream Fund. If the couple has enrolled in the Dream Fund program, the Dream Fund will be listed as the first item on their registry.

I can't see the couples shipping information. How can I send a gift from the couple's registry?

For security reasons, we do not display the couple's shipping address. When you select to have merchandise shipped to the couple, we will ship it to the address they have on file with us.

Please note: if you are sending your registry purchase to the happy couple, the order must be placed on a separate order than your general merchandise order.

Are gift boxes available?

Yes, gift boxes are available for registry purchases! For only $6 per delivery address, your registry gift will arrive in our elegant metallic keepsake box complete with signature tissue paper and a beautiful grosgrain bow.

Some larger items and items shipped directly from the vendor cannot be gift boxed. These items are marked on the product page and in checkout. Also, similar items may be placed in the same gift box. Gift boxes are not available for Search & Send orders placed in store or for International shipping.

Can I send the happy couple a note with my purchase?

Yes you can! For a personal touch, you can write a note to the happy couple at no extra charge at checkout.

I need to return the gift I purchased for the couple. How do I do this?

Most items purchased from a gift registry may be exchanged or returned (with receipt) within 180 days from the date of purchase. Please see our return policy for more information.

How can I contribute to the couple's Dream Fund?

If the couple you're shopping for has enrolled in the Dream Fund program, the Dream Fund will be listed as the first item on their registry.

Gift givers can contribute in any store, with or without a Gift Registry Consultant, or by phone by calling 1.855.DREAM-0 (this number can only be used for registries that have already enrolled in the Dream Fund in the store). Phone lines are open from Mon-Sun, 10AM-10PM ET.

Contributions should be processed within 48 business hours. Once processed, you will receive an email confirmation indicating the funds have been applied to the registrant's Dream Fund account.

Registry Star Rewards


What is the Registry Star Rewards program?

The Registry Star Rewards program is an exciting benefit offered to macys.com registry customers. Eligible purchases add up on a Rewards Card that can be redeemed after your event. Once enrolled, registrants earn:

  • 10% on eligible Macy's purchases made with their Macy's credit card.

  • 5% on eligible purchases made up to 90 days after your occasion when guests, family and friends shop from your registry.

How do I enroll in the Registry Star Rewards Program?

A Macy’s registry will need to be created in order to enroll in the Registry Star Rewards Program. To enroll in the Registry Star Rewards Program, click here .

Located below the rewards examples, you will be prompted to select one of the following options:

  • CREATE YOUR REGISTRY & ENROLL
  • SIGN IN & ENROLL

Please note: y ou will be required to provide your Macy's Card number during online enrollment.

When will I receive my Registry Star Rewards gift card?

You will receive your Rewards gift card(s) 30-45 days after your event. You may continue to earn and receive rewards through the end of your 90 day completion period.

Are there certain items that are excluded from earning Registry Star Rewards?

Yes, the following items are excluded from earning Registry Star Rewards:

  • Cosmetics
  • Fragrances
  • Furniture
  • Mattresses
  • Rugs
  • Services
  • Gift card purchases
  • Sales tax
  • Shipping fees
  • Gift wrap fees
  • Other marketing offers and leased departments (including, but not limited to, beauty salon, alterations, interior design, bridal gowns, furs, children's shoes, maternity and food)

How many Registry Star Rewards have I earned?

If you would like to know how many Registry Star Rewards you have earned up to date, please contact our Customer Service department at 1.800.568.8865 during the following business hours:

  • Mon-Sun 10AM-10PM ET

If I delete my registry, will my Registry Star Rewards total be affected?

If you decide to delete your registry, your enrollment will be cancelled and all Registry Star Rewards are forfeited. If you choose to register again at a later date, you may enroll again, however; previous rewards earned will not be reinstated.

Please note: i f you decide to close your Macy's account, your enrollment in the Registry Star Rewards program will be discontinued and your rewards will also be forfeited.

Is my anniversary registry eligible for Registry Star Rewards?

At this time, Registry Star Rewards is only offered for wedding and commitment occasions.

I'm already a Macy's Star Rewards customer. Do I have to enroll in the Registry Star Rewards program?

Macy's Star Rewards and Registry Star Rewards are two separate programs and you can participate in both. However, because the Registry Star Rewards program is an optional program & contingent on having a gift registry, enrollment is required to confirm your eligibility to participate.






General registry information


Why haven't I received items showing as purchased on my registry?

There are several reasons why an item may show as purchased but you have yet to receive it:

  • The item was recently purchased and shipped and is still in transit.
  • Your guest may not have had a chance to deliver the item(s) to you.
  • The item is on backorder and has yet to ship.
  • The item may have been returned.

If you provided an email address when you registered, you will receive notification when items are placed on backorder. Please make sure that your spam filter is off and that you add macys.com to your address book as a trusted source.

How long will my registry be available after my event date?

Your registry will be available in-store and online for 13 months after your event or 13 months from the last date of activity on the registry, whichever occurs last.

Will I receive a discount for items on my registry that were not purchased?

Yes you will! With Macy's Completion Program, you will receive a 20% discount off most items left on your registry for 180 days after your occasion. You may also add new items to your registry and receive the discount.

Some of the items I registered for or wish to purchase are not available online. How can I purchase these items?

If a registered item is not available online:

  • Please use our Store Locator to find the store nearest you, or
  • Click to find out if the item is available in a location near you.

I've cancelled my event. How do I remove my registry?

For assistance with removing your registry, please contact our Customer Service Department at 1.800.568.8865.

I need to return some gifts...how do I do this?

The time limits for Gift Registry returns are calculated from the event date:

  • If the item was purchased prior to the occasion or event date, items may be exchanged or returned (with receipt) 90 days from the event date
  • If the item was purchased after the occasion or event date, items may be exchanged or returned (with receipt) 90 days from the purchase date

What is Macy's Dream Fund?

Macy's Dream Fund is an exclusive gift card that lets your friends and family contribute money to it so you can save up and buy anything you want from Macy's, from newlywed necessities to fashion finds and more!

After setting up your Dream Fund, your guests can make monetary contributions to assist in purchasing anything that Macy's sells. Most registrants include a preference item that they have in mind for their Dream Fund.

If you have enrolled in the Dream Fund program, the Dream Fund will be listed as the first item on your registry.
