Payment Options Accepted by Borderfree
Borderfree accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Borderfree also accepts PayPal in most locations.
International shipping rates, calculated by Borderfree during Checkout, takes a number of factors into account, including shipping speed (standard/express), number of items purchased, item weight(s), and the destination location/region.
Promotions & Sales that Can Be Applied to Orders
Many of Macy's in-store offers and promotions include a promo code for use when shopping online. If the offer you're looking for does not include an online promo code, it is an in-store only promotion and may not be used online. Visit our online Deals & Promotions page for a list of current online offers. Shipping promotions on macys.com apply to the U.S. shipping fees associated with shipping from our warehouse to the Borderfree U.S. warehouse. International shipping fees may still apply even if you qualify for promotion within the shopping bag.

Duty and Taxes Charged On International Orders
Duty (or customs tariffs) is set by the destination location customs authorities. It's determined based on a combination of the location of origin/manufacturing of the goods being purchased, and the classification of that merchandise in accordance with a harmonized system used by the locations that Borderfree supports.
Value Added Tax (VAT) rates are set by the destination location.
You will be able to view the total amount of applicable duty and tax/VAT for your order within the Borderfree global Checkout. As the international customer, you are the importer of record.
Your credit card will go through Borderfree credit card authorization at the time you are placing the order online. If credit authorization fails, you will be messaged immediately at the time you are placing the order. Your credit card will be billed by Borderfree at the time your parcel(s) leave the Borderfree warehouse in the U.S. Your credit card statement will read 51*Macys.com (51 denotes the 51 network).
Authorization Holds on International Orders
Authorization holds occur when a purchase is made online or by phone. Once the order is confirmed, an authorization hold for the entire amount is placed on your credit card. Once the merchandise ships, your credit card will be charged and the hold is removed.
If you're using a debit card to make your purchase, we'll request an authorization from your bank for the transaction amount immediately after you click "submit." Your bank will place a hold on these funds in anticipation of receiving the actual withdrawal from your deposit account. We do not process the actual charge to your debit card until your order is shipped; however, we will request another authorization from your bank to verify that the funds remain available if there is a delay from your order date to our shipping date.
