Store Pick Up Information

Macy's offers you the option to buy online and pick up in the store, with no shipping fee incurred. Here’s how it works:

  • Place your order to be picked up in the store online
  • The selected store receives your order
  • Your merchandise is selected from the store's current inventory and prepared for pickup
  • You're contacted when the order is ready for pickup and notified if anything changes

Search for items using the pickup in-store option

Search for specific products online and find out if they're available for in-store pickup. Here's how it works:

  • Use the search bar at the top of the page to enter a product name or description
  • Select the Free Pickup Today box that includes your designated store
  • Items available for in-store pickup at your designated store will populate

Change your pickup location

The pickup location must be selected before submitting your order. To change your store location from the product page or Shopping Bag:

  • From the product page, select the current designated store, found below the Free Pickup In Store option
  • From the Shopping Bag, select the current designated store, found below the Your Pickup Store option
  • Select a new store from the provided list
Note: If your preferred store is not listed, the merchandise is not currently available for in-store pickup at that store location.

Selecting Free Pickup In Store at Checkout

At Checkout, be sure to choose Free Pickup In Store as the delivery option. Once this option is chosen, your shipping fee will be replaced with FREE . Your Macy's Card or Macy's American Express ​​​​ Card will be charged once the merchandise is ready for pickup.

If Free Pickup In Store is not available, the merchandise is not currently available for in-store pickup. You may choose to Ship It instead and have the merchandise delivered to you for a charge, or change your designated store to one that carries the merchandise and that's within driving distance.

Who can pick up your order in store

If you place an order online, you are the primary pickup person. If you believe that you may not be able to pick up the order, you can designate an alternate pickup person during Checkout. These are the only two people who can pick up the order in store.

Note: A valid government-issued ID is required to pick up the order.

When your order is ready for pickup

For most store locations, if your order is placed by 3PM in your local time zone, it will be ready for pickup that day. You'll receive an email notification when your order is ready for pickup.

How long you have to pick up your order

After the store notifies you that your order is ready for pickup, it will be held for seven days.

If your order isn't picked up within seven days, your order will be cancelled and your account will be issued a full refund.

What you need to bring to pick up your in-store order

Either you or your alternate pickup person must bring a copy of the pickup notification email (includes barcode), plus a valid government-issued ID (driver's license, passport, or military ID). Your ID may be swiped at the register for verification.

Where to go to pick up your in-store order

Pickup locations will vary by store. Instructions with a precise location will be included in your pickup notification email.

Gift wrap options vary by location, but may be available at the time of pickup.
