Returns to a Store
Items purchased in a store must be returned to a store. Items purchased online can be returned by mail or to a store. Bring your original receipt.
No receipt? No Problem. We can use the following information to look up your purchase:
- The credit card used to make the purchase
- The order number or ship confirmation email
- The shipping label or packing list
- The gift registry number
Please note: we cannot process returns at curbside.
Returns by Mail
Return shipping is free for Star Reward members. For non-members, a $9.99 return shipping fee plus tax where applicable will be deducted from your refund. Sign up for Star Rewards here.
Only items purchased online can be returned by mail. Start a return here.
Please include only the items listed on your return label in the corresponding box. If you have multiple return labels, return items in separate boxes, and apply the correct return label to each box to ensure you receive your refund without further delays. Once your return is received at our return facility, it may take up to 7 days to process your refund.
There is a charge for scheduled return pickup in areas offering the service.
How to Print or Reprint my Return label?
If you've submitted your return online, you can reprint your return label at any time by following the steps below:
- Click here to sign into your profile OR if you do not have a Macy's profile, click here look up your order by entering your order number.
- Select "My Account" from the top right drop-down menu.
- Next to "Purchase History" select "view all".
- All On-line Orders now display.
- Select the order number that you would like to return.
- Click the "Return" button on the item you would like to return.
- If you would like to return more items then select "Add more items to return".
- Select "Reason for Return".
- Click "Continue".
- The payment Method will display.
- Click "Continue".
- Choose how you would like to return your items:
- Macy's Stores.
- UPS Drop Off.
- Don't have a printer? - Select "Label Free at the UPS Store". UPS will then scan your QR code and print the label for you.
- Submit return page displays.
- Click on "Submit".
- Return confirmation displays with the option to "Print Return Label".
- Print your return label and return slip, and include the return slip in the package along with the item(s) you're returning.
- Attach your return label to the outside of the package - each return label can only be used for one return.
- Drop off your package at any UPS drop-off location.
