WHAT IS A MATTRESS RECYCLING FEE?

Mattress recycling fees are mandated by law in some states & support a state’s ongoing
recycling efforts. Mattress recycling fees apply in California, Connecticut & Rhode Island.

*Each mattress & box spring is considered a separate unit. For example, a king mattress will be charged for 3 pieces
(2 box springs & 1 mattress)

• Mattress recycling fees can be subject to sales tax in certain states
• Online sales recycling fees will be based on the customer’s delivery state
• The fee is separate from Macy’s Haul Away fee
• Recycling fee cannot be credited to the customer, as it is mandated by law. It can only be refunded if the merchandise is returned
